Short description:
Full description: Students get acquainted with the basic rights of population genetics, perform basic analysis of the genetic structure of the population for different types of traits They learn how to determine the structure of the population in terms of a single gene, independent genes, sex-linkage genes, for the allele series. They learn the basic statistics characterizing the population and estimate the strength of linkage for the analyzed loci. Student knows and understands:the factors and mechanisms affecting genetic structure of the population, the indicators characterizing populations in genetic terms. Student can:define and analyze factors and mechanisms determining the genetic structure of the population, characterize populations in terms of one gene and many genes.
